Will Obama Grants Encourage Moms to Earn (business schools) a Degree

Notwithstanding the fact that higher education is important, there are often a number of obstacles that can hinder potential students from enrolling in college. Family obligations and financial concerns are often at the top of this list, especially for single mothers. In an attempt to ease some of the concerns associated with going to college, Obama grants are intended to encourage mothers to return to college to earn a degree.
The purpose of federal grants, in many cases, is to help disadvantaged groups to attend college. An endowment often given to low-income students, is the federal Pell grant. Since the Obama administration has stated that it places a high priority on education, the benefits of Pell grants have been augmented in order to be a greater help to potential students. Working moms are especially encouraged to apply for the Scholarships for Moms program, which is just a title given to a portion of the standard Pell grant program. By equipping low-income mothers to earn a degree, the administration believes that this will provide a stimulus to the lagging economy, and be a great benefit to the families of those mothers, by increasing their earning power in the work force.
While the cost of education is high these days, $5,000 from a Pell grant may not seem like a lot of money, but it can be a help when you consider the other expenses associated with going to college. A student has to pay for books and supplies, housing and travel expenses as well. For a single mom, other miscellaneous expenses may also include childcare. One of the great advantages of the Pell grant award is that the money awarded does not necessarily have to be applied to college tuition. As long as the expense is vital to obtaining an education, it can be covered by the grant money.
It must be remembered that this program doesnt cater specifically to traditional students; it provides opportunity for traditional and non-traditional students alike. Mothers who want to return to college to earn a degree are just as welcome as a student who is fresh out of high school. Consideration is given equally to potential students who would prefer to go to a small community college as well as mothers who would like to stay home and take care of their children while taking online courses. The most important factor is that all willing students are able to earn a degree that will provide them with significant opportunity in the job market.
Obama grants are the current administration’s way to show that education truly is the key to a bright future. Everyone from young adults to working mothers has a chance to go to college, by the allocation of a significant amount of money to pay for education.

A Jewel of a Family Outing

Jewelry shows can be an intriguing and entertaining excursion for the family members. There are a selection of different antique shows, jewelry shows, watch shows and antique and jewelry shows I can personally suggest.
You could possibly also stop by my company at almost all of the shows.
D.M.G. Media features a collection of shows that are observed in Florida, New York City and Las Vegas. The Original Miami Beach Antique Show is in Miami, Florida. This coming year (2011) the dates of the show are Feb. 3-7. This is just one of the most fantastic and in my belief, very best antique shows of the year. At this show you will come across a large collection of art, antiques, watches, diamonds and jewelry. This is seriously one of the highest quality collections of dealers from in and outside of the country.
The Las Vegas Jewelry and Watch show is in Las Vegas June 3-6 2010. The show is in the MGM Grand Las Vegas and opens one day before JCK. This show is not at all open up to the public and only to the trade.
The New York Jewelry and Watch Show is in New York City in the Metropolitan Pavilion. This is D.M.G.’s smallest show, but really has a wonderful collection of jewelry and antique dealers. Because this show is in Chelsea it has some terrific walk-in viewers. This show is open to the public. It is a must see, most especially if you live in the city.
The Miami Beach Antique Jewelry and Watch Show is in October. This jewelry show is in the Miami Convention Center just minutes from the prestigious South Beach. This is a a good deal smaller show than D.M.G.’s other Miami show. It is a very good show, though. Because this show is smaller, dealers are determined to sell. This show is largely jewelry and some watches.
The Palm Beach Show is an up and coming company with a great line up of shows and tremendously knowledgable staff. The Palm Beach Show Group has 4 shows across the year. They include, The Baltimore Summer Antiques Show, Palm Beach Jewelry, Art and Antique Show, Ft. Lauderdale Art, Antique and Jewelry Show and Dallas International Art, Antique and Jewelry Show.
The Baltimore Summer Antique Show is one of the oldest shows in the country celebrating 30 years. This exhibit is a really phenomenal venue. Lots of interesting one of a kind goods to see. The Palm Beach Jewelry, Art and Antique Show is February 18-22 2011. This is a remarkable show with great products. Mostly high end and extraordinary items at this show. Last year this was one of the busiest shows in South Florida.
